Consumerization of IT refers to the growing trend of information technology innovation being driven primarily by consumer markets, only subsequently to be adapted for enterprise use.  It refers to the associated change – in terms of employee and customer expectations, technology strategy and organizational culture – driven by the need for a more open and inclusive technology architecture.
